ABOUT

In addition to her numerous dining locales, restaurateur Marilyn Schlossbach is committed to strengthening her local community. Throughout her culinary career, Schlossbach has been an advocate for environmental issues, culinary arts and grassroots community outreach. Today, Schlossbach has incorporated all of her passions into the 501c3 nonprofit organization Food for Thought by the Sea.

With help from Pat Sherman of Feeding Friendz, Food for Thought by the Sea’s Community Table has fed more than 10,000 hungry neighbors on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. In addition, it has provided local restaurants and community members with fresh produce and goods every Thursday at the Carousel Farmers Market, and local youth have been given opportunities to pursue interests in horticulture, the culinary arts and water sports.

Food for Thought by Sea's continued goal is to strengthen Asbury Park through positive community outreach and youth-empowerment programs.
